A bimatrix game is a pair of m × n matrices (A,B), where m and n are integers greater than or equal to 1.

The interpretation of such a bimatrix game (A,B) is that, if player 1 (the row player) plays row i and player 2 (the column player) plays column j, then player 1 receives payoff aij and player 2 receives bij, where these numbers are the corresponding entries of A and B, respectively.
